Government Postgraduate College Timergara Dir Lower

<p>&lt;p&gt;Timergara, the headquarters of district Dir lower, lies 180 km in the north of Peshawar, with the gigantic and gorgeous mountains, ever-flowing fountains and rills, and fruit orchards. Timergara presents captivating beauty of nature. Unlike the big cities, here we find clean and fresh air, free from pollution. The people of this district have a consuming passion for knowledge but due to a lack of facilities, they have to go to other parts of the country to quench their thirst for knowledge. In order to cater to the educational requirements of the people of this area, the Government of Pakistan established this college at Timergara in 1969, the year the former state of Dir was merged in Pakistan. Initially, it was an intermediate college housed in Government high school Timergara. Later, it was shifted to its existing location in 1973. It was upgraded as a degree college and inaugurated by the then Governor of KPK. The Government of KPK has upgraded it to the level of Post Graduate College, and the Department of Maths has also been launched. Situated at a distance of 3 km from the city on Timergara Maidan road.&amp;nbsp; Apart from the above, a beautiful and spacious Hall, named &amp;quot;Jinnah Hall&amp;quot; after the name of the founder of the nation, has also been constructed with the main building. In this hall, various examinations, functions on important occasions, and colorful programs are held from time to time.&lt;/p&gt;</p>
