To promote education in the area and to cater the needs of development of people in the area, Govt:Degree College Alpurai was established in 1983. it was upgraded to the degree level in 1992. The college is located in the land of natural beauty, It is surrounded by long green trees, Cold and Sweet spring, beautifull waterfalls, waving fields,murmuring streams, snow covered and green mountains, coloured flowers ,fragrant air and calm atmosphere. The college is a source of inspiration in the area and aim to equip the population in the area with the latest in knowledge in order to improve human development.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p style=&quot;text-align:justify&quot;&gt;The college has spacious afrea of further expansion is possible. A hostel for students containing 20 rooms can accomodate more than 30 boarder. Besides a bachelor hostel for teaching staff members has also been established.&amp;nbsp;Govt:Degree College Alpurai is a great center of learning in the area.&lt;/p&gt;</p></p>
